Photo Therapy - Autism Support Group

A child's smile has the power of a thousand suns to warm your heart!

Tonight's shoot was exhausting and... I would not have missed it for anything! I had the unique pleasure of working with four other amazing photographers that volunteered their time and talent to the Canadian County Autism Support Group. The idea came from Wendy Eagan, to provide studio portraits in a setting that was familiar and comfortable to the children. The group of photographers grew and when the date came, five local shooters shown up to help. I would like to give special Thanks! to Steve Maupin, a special needs certified photographer, for guidance before the shoot. We all had a blast and discussed all the wonderful children we met over coffee afterwards. With tired feet, sore backs and exhausted bodies... we were all uplifted by the smiles, hugs and laughter of the kids. I will sleep well tonight! While I spend most of my time entertaining the kids, setting lights and poses, I managed to get a few "off the cuff" shots of the crew. Please check back often for the links to some of the finished portraits.
