Commercial Shoot

Monday, June 30, 2008

Saturday was a busy day with a commercial shoot and then the arena football game in the evening. Luckily, I was shooting with fellow photographer and friend, Randy Anderson. While I cannot post any images directly related to the job, I did get some fun shots of Randy shooting. Yes, it was hot... and, yes, we both sweat while working in the sun. If you love wildlife, you will adore his wonderful images of fauna and flora. The vast majority shot right here in Oklahoma. He has a book in publication and is working on his next one. Quite an amazing and accomplished photographer. Check out his website... you will not be disappointed!

OKC Yard Dawgz vs. Vipers

Monday, June 02, 2008

OKLAHOMA CITY –The Tennessee Valley Vipers won their sixth straight game with a convincing 77-37 road victory over the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz Saturday night in front of 6,711 fans at Ford Center.
The Vipers got on the board first with a 12 yard pass from QB Kevin Eakin to WR Maurice Brown. Tennessee Valley’s impressive defense held the Dawgz scoreless and brought down QB Ryan Porter in the end zone for a safety. Eakin connected with Brown once more and WR Alonzo Nix twice to finish out the first quarter 29-0.
The Dawgz got on the board in the second quarter with a 14 yard pass from QB Ryan Porter to WR Al Hunt and a 40 yard FG from kicker Ben Scott. Tennessee Valley’s Eakin continued to lead his team down the field and the Vipers scored three times. Tennessee Valley opened the third quarter with a 19 yard interception return for a TD by DB Demetrius Derico. The Dawgz defense could not stop the Vipers and they scored twice in the third quarter. Oklahoma City’s offense continued to struggle and scored twice, also.
The teams exchanged scores in the fourth quarter bringing the final score to 77-37, Tennessee Valley. Schutt Offensive Player of the Game, Kevin Eakin, went 19-of-32 for 229 yards and 7 TDs.
The Dawgz travel to Corpus Christi on Saturday, June 7th to take on the Sharks; kick-off is set for 7 p.m. The game can be heard by tuning into JOX 930 AM or www.jox930.com.
