WOW! This was exciting week for me. Two weeks ago, I was selected to lead the Oklahoma City part of the Worldwide Photo Walk. This was the first worldwide event of this type sponsored by National Association of PhotoShop Professionals. It involved over 5,500 in 241 cities around the globe, walking and socializing for the betterment of photography.
We had 50 registered photographers, over 60 shooting and 47 for dinner after the walk. Some of the group still made time afterwards to shoot night shots of the OKC Memorial. I planned an easy route and arranged some fantastic models, of different ages, to stage along the way. I think everyone had a blast! Maybe we will plan to do this more often... Here are some of the photos taken by our talented photographers. Oklahoma City PhotoWalk Flickr Group

Here are two of my friends pausing to shoot one of the models along the walk. David Baxter, and my longtime californian friend, Karen (Jes) Dominguez-Cavin, who flew out here to keep me company for the weekend and teach my daughter to cook. Thanks!

Brian and Samantha

Friday, August 22, 2008

Sorry if everyone missed me for a few weeks...I've been running around like crazy after the little vacation. But I'm almost caught up on some projects, and push others aside to care for my brides and grooms. I can't believe how quick time flies! I have 3 weddings in in the next 4 weeks. All the time planning will be wrapped up in one afternoon, captured forever with my lens; I feel so privileged to be a part of your special day.
And speaking of weddings, here are a few shots from Brian & Samantha's e-session taken 2 weeks ago. We had a great time shooting, laughing, running, jumping and hugging. I think she really enjoyed painting his head tooooo much! ha,ha,ha.. I will have to post some of those shots later. Brian and Sam have been friends of mine for over 5 years. In fact, Brian helped me design my wedding invitations! Their wedding will be a blast! See you there... Here are a few they picked for the reception.

Jessica in Yukon

Tuesday, August 12, 2008

Jessica, a young avid photographer in Yukon, always seems to wear the cutest little yellow shoes. I could not resist shooting a few images of her with the new RayFlash Ringlight for the Nikon SB-800. Here is two from the test session on Yukon's Main Street, Route 66.

I've been quite busy since my return from the trip to the Bahamas. I barely had a chance to unpack and do laundry when it was time to shoot more stills for the movie "Bloom", a production by WinterShine Productions. I would tell you more about this exciting film, but we are trying not to give away the plot, so my posts are limited to a few on-set images. I can say that these are some amazing actors, full of talent, dedication and heart, willing to go to extremes to get the good take. The director/producer, Diane Kern, has a creative drive and vision that make the scenes fun, productive and challenging. Check out her last movie, "To Love a Mexican", and judge for yourself.

Here are a few shots while filming downtown in Piedmont, Oklahoma. Check back often for updates!
