Chris & Karly Video

Wednesday, October 29, 2008

I love editing a wedding, or any project for that matter, because I get to relive the special moments again. Chris and Karly's wedding was one of those beautiful, meaningful, magical days where the romance and love with last forever. Very inspiring couple from the first moment we met... I'm honored to be chosen to capture those quiet moments that will rekindle the passion.
Here is a little video of a few images... Enjoy!

Don's Special Day

Sunday, October 26, 2008

Can you believe that Don is 70 years old? I hope to look this good at 50! Which by the way, is right around the corner. It was awesome to see all the people, family & friends, that Don has touched in his life coming to says "Thanks!". Of course, many came out to see what 70 candles look like on a single cake! Not to worry, the Moore Fire Dept was on high alert once the fire was lit. Here are a few images from the night's activities. Happy Birthday!

The Big Show

Thursday, October 23, 2008

OK folks, this was a blast! I was asked by the host of the show, Gene Rohden to be a guest on "High Instability". We talked about digital cameras, some night photography and lots of weather stuff that I had no idea about. As Chuck gave his two minute segment, I was dumbfounded by the depth of his knowledge without (me) having a clue of the words coming out of his mouth! And after I showed my ignorance or lack of caring of weather prediction probability accuracy, the show ran late! Maybe I can get another 15 minutes of fame and tackle some tuff photography questions? Call or email Gene and ask for the return of Robert! Really, these three guys are brainiacs, I was at a loss for words the majority of the time during the breaks. And I must say that RJ's new nickname is the "Energizer Bunny"... with minimum sleep, he keeps going and going and going. Here are a few shots of the crew. Let me add... to get the shot, it's important to have your camera. I carry mine everywhere. It would seem that storm chasers only pack when there is bad weather on the horizon. Needless to say... I have no pics of me... But I was there! I will post a link to the archived show soon. Thanks guys!

Birthday Limo

Sunday, October 19, 2008

Today a few of the photo group ran around like paparazzi during a Lindsay's Rocking Birthday Party. Mom provided a red carpet ride with a limo from All-Star Limousines. It was a blast seeing all the girls in the party dancing for the music video. Here a few teaser shots. Happy Birthday... You go Girlfriend!

Chris & Karly's Big Day!

Sunday, October 12, 2008

I had the honor of spending Friday with Chris & Karly on their first day together as husband and wife. You have not seen a happier couple! Despite all the day's upsets, they kept cool and had a blast! This was the fun wedding to be attending this year! The Festivities in El Reno was a beautiful setting that complimented their style. And what about THAT drum cake... custom designed by Sweet Cherry Sugar Art Bakery. It's wonderful to have a groom's cake express his passion. Before you wonder, I did have a slice and it was unbelievably good. I had the pleasure of teaming up with Sunny Kersh again for this ceremony as she really shines in everything... specially setting up the formals. After the ceremony, the tired couple allow me a few shots before checking in for night at the Colcord Hotel. Very romantic decor! Here are a few teaser shots from the night.

Cami at Sauced

Saturday, October 04, 2008

Believe it or not... despite all the fun photographers have, we need a social break sometimes. Irene and I decided to take in Cami Stinson's show at Sauced in the Paseo District last night. We meet Brian Davis from Davis Photography and his wife Patti, had some pizza, a few beers, and enjoyed the piping hot tunes from the band. Speaking of that... their first CD is in the mastering process and should be released very soon. You might remember that Brian and I did a session with Cami for promotion shots for the artwork and band posters (check post for April 21, 2008). Of course, you might not recognize Cami as the color of her hair changed.... but the voice is as sultry and sassy as ever. Here are a few pics from the band... just 'cause I'm resting, you didn't think I would leave the camera home... did you? really?

Ken & Kelly

Thursday, October 02, 2008

I recently have the pleasure of working with David Baxter on a wedding. We met about 4 years ago and had wanted to work with him, but our schedules never meshed until 2 weeks ago. It was a beautiful setting, a wonderful couple and charming guests. Working with David was as incredible as I expected; his ability to adjust to the every changing flow of a complex wedding ceremony and reception was uncanny... a truly remarkable photographer able to capture the nuance of each moment. But, as with any creative artist focused on excellence, David needed a second (me!) to capture some of the setup details and perform VAL (voice activated lightstand) services. I had a blast working with a true professional. Here are a few shots from the evening. Be sure to check out David's blog and website for the entire event's images.
