Cami at the Capitol

Monday, March 09, 2009

Last Friday night found me and the crew shooting some promo shots for Cami Stinson's upcoming CD release. Despite the late start (my fault) and high gusting Oklahoma winds, we managed a few great shots. Cami looked stunning, dressed in a Johnthan Kayne gown and styled by Janee Parsons. Thanks so much for my VALS, Terri Baily and Brian Davis... I couldn't do it without you!
Cami Stinson will release her new CD titled "In the Morning" on Friday, March 27 at 51st Street Speak Easy. Come out and join the fun! Here are a few shots from the session.

Palace Bridal Show

Monday, February 23, 2009

What a wonderful show the Palace Event Center put on yesterday! This was their 2nd Annual Bridal Show, and I feel so fortunate to have attended in the company of respected wedding vendors from all around the metro area. Janay from Unique Weddings by Janay, helped frou-frou the set and spruce up some of the rough edges. If your have not considered a wedding planner... treat yourself to a session with her and learn to enjoy your day! And to help get the "brides to be" in the right mood, we donated a gift certificate for the drawings from The Oxford Spa Salon. Janee (yes, another one.. spelled differently) and her staff are incredibly gifted at all things beautiful.. from hair to feet and anything in-between.
Special kudos to Terry Bailey and Brian Davis for their sacrifice to see me get through my first show.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by and commented on the set, the photography and my passion! See you at the wedding! Here are two shots from the show!

Paseo Bridal Couture Fashion Show

Sunday, February 08, 2009

What a beautiful event held at the Old Trinity Church in The Paseo Arts District. This event coincided with the "First Friday Gallery Walk" and the area was filled with laughter, music and... dare I say it... Love! The anxious "brides to be" paraded in and out of the venue during the evening leaving impressed, overwhelmed and filled with new ideas.
I was petitioned by Janee, owner of The Oxford Spa Salon, to take quick head shots of the models for her portfolio. Janee is a talented makeup artist, internationally licensed beauty therapist and a friend that is able to skillfully maximize anyone's natural splendor.
After shooting the models, dressed in couture bridal gowns by the fabulous Meg Guess, I had the opportunity to photograph lovely models in those gowns. With the wind and slight chill in the air as our only enemies, and the extraordinary help from Brian (Brian Davis Photography) and Terri (FlashGirl Photography) we creatived wonderful images. Thank you so much for making this event memorable!

Well, maybe... There was one large enemy to contend with... TIME! I would have loved to shoot all night long, all over the city!

The UnBride

Monday, January 26, 2009

WOW! What to get your world rocked? Combine some great models, diehard VALs, amazing MUA, creative freedom... and a metal shop! Welcome to the set of "The UnBride"! As a wedding photographer, I hear horror stories of bridezilla, hateful maids of honor and pushy mothers so I decided to create my version of the unbride. She is your basic "I hate my groom so much...."; the girl next door that loves to heat things up... with real fire!
The list is way too long for me to thank everyone... But I really couldn't have done this without your support and trust in my creative vision.
Let me just hit the highlights: "Thanks for cleaning up the shop.. Looks great!" to the all the folks at Iron Masters; real craftsmen that force metal into art. Thanks for being patience and holding a pose to all three models; Elizabeth, Stacey & Rebecca. "You da wo-man!" to my favorite MUA and actress, Beth. A big hug and high five to my VALs; Terri & Brian... and, of course, everyone that came out to watch and wound up holding a lightstand, keeping me from falling, fetching extension cords, etc. I really wanted to have lots of folks on location learning and watching, but we had to limit the number for safety.
Here are a few of the quick edits for your viewing pleasure. Comments are always welcome!

New Sample 12x12 Album

Tuesday, January 20, 2009

I've switched to a new custom album company for my 2009 Wedding Collections and the sample arrived today. It was packaged with care, tape all around and enforced in the middle. The main box was filled with little white packing peanuts and when I got to open the inside box... WOW! My heart skipped a beat!
The custom, handmade album was lovingly wrapped in handmade paper made from recycled pineapple leaves and finished with a handmade paper ribbon made from recycled mulberry leaves. The floral enhancement is made from skeleton leaves and dried flowers.
The printing is divine and the images practically leap off the flat laying pages with love, joy and excitement. This will be a wonderful example for new couples to preview how their special day will be preserved. Beautiful!
Here are a few teaser shots to wet your appetite. Give me a call, let's do coffee and this album will brag on it's own!

2009 Wedding Collection Price List

Sunday, January 18, 2009

The Official Trawick Images 2009 Wedding Collections Price List is ready and available for download.
After much debate with friends and colleagues on the subject of publishing prices online, I decided to put mine readily available for my prospected clients to review or share with others.
I really enjoy spending time with my clients having coffee, sharing ideas, planning shots, reviewing images... I just think it would be a waste of everyone's time and energy if I did not fit within their financial needs. Wouldn't want to know the price of a car before you stepped into the dealership? Just my crazy thought process, I guess. Please comment, email or call me with your opinions. I really want to hear from you.

New Year's Eve with Cami

Friday, January 02, 2009

I'm trying to catch up and post a few images on the blog to start off the new year right. Here are a few shots from New Year's Eve with Cami Stinson at the Palace Event Center. I would post some from the "actual" party... but I'm afraid of retaliation. Check back to see if I changed my mind... It was a good night!
